It is in my abstract work that I get to play. As I lay down each layer of wax I am constantly assessing the painting and trying to “hear” where the work wants to go. It is a conversation between me and the work where every element—each layer—informs the next. The freedom, to invent, to explore, and to create without limits is what I live for.
